May I publish a photo from your website?

All photos, descriptions, and tradenames depicted within this website are protected either by copyright ©, trademark™, or are patent pending.  We reserve the right to vigorously prosecute violators and to have their names and entities published on the internet. No pictures may be copied, used, or posted without our written permission. This is your one, and only warning!

Can you ship internationally?

Yes we can!  All our shipping is fully insured.  Please supply us with your address and information and we will let you know what your shipping costs will be.

Does your jewelry come with a warranty?

Every piece of Amaroo Handmade Opal Jewelry™ is warranted against manufacturing defects for (2) full years from date of purchase.

What if my item(s) need service, sizing, or repair

To maintain the integrity and quality of your Amaroo Handmade Opal Jewelry™ If your item should ever need service or to be repaired please return it to our workshops.  Having your Amaroo Handmade Opal Jewelry™ repaired or sized elsewhere will void your warranty.   Contact us prior to mailing and we will happily issue you an RMA#.   When it arrives we’ll welcome our baby back home and will care for it like family.

Can I get an appraisal with my new item(s)?

Every piece comes with a full, and very detailed,  insurance appraisal.  You will receive one (1) hard copy and a personal web portal so that you can access your appraisal anytime and from anywhere.  If you have purchased the item as a gift we can put the gift recipient’s information on the appraisal and can set them up with a login access to the online portal.

Conflict diamonds

If we use a “new” diamond in an Amaroo piece we pledge to conform to the Kimberley process.   The Kimberley Process (KP) is a commitment to remove conflict diamonds from the global supply chain.

Cultural Appropriation

We are aware that cultural appropriation is an unfair act.  Because our name came from an Aboriginal Australian dialect we have respectfully asked for and received permission for its usage.

Blood Diamonds, Ecology,  and Ethics

At Amaroo we believe that we are not the owners of spaceship Earth – we are, at best, stewards and Mother Nature is our boss. Our children (and any future generations) will be left to deal with the poor decisions we’ve made yesterday and today. Bearing that philosophy in mind, Amaroo uses only recycled precious metals, recycled diamonds (not blood diamonds), reclaimed gemstones (which have been removed from older pieces of jewelry), and boxes made of paper and recyclable materials. The sole exception to our process occurs when we use new Australian opals (although we have pieces that contain reclaimed opals, too). We will always look for ways to reduce waste and to maintain the quality

of our hand manufacture. If there’s any way that we can sustainably reduce our waste, and our carbon footprint, we will endeavor to adapt our methods to reflect those new technologies.

If  our customers ask us to use a “new” diamond, for a bespoke piece of Amaroo Handmade Opal Jewelry™, we are committed to the Kimberley Process (KP) and will only use a KP certified gemstone.

Do you have a physical showroom?

Currently the only showroom for Amaroo Handmade Opal Jewelry™ is open by appointment only and is within Jewelry & Timepiece Mechanix, 16 Kings Court, Haddonfield, NJ.  Please see their website for appointments and information.

Are your stones treated?

We eschew treated gemstones but there are many gems that are routinely treated.  Since we recycle used gemstones those types of stones are assumed to be treated and any and all disclosure is made on the appraisal.  Our accuracy and transparency is important to us and is part of our standard of ethics.

Custom or Bespoke items

We at Amaroo love to create bespoke items for special occasions (anniversary, engagement, birth, etc.) or as a gift for yourself.  We have a great selection of fine Australian Opals that we have not set yet and are willing to work with clients to select one of them and to design and create a piece just for you.   Please, contact Bill and he can help design something (in person or via video chat) that is uniquely about you.  Amaroo is all about uniqueness and natural beauty.

Metal purity stamps and Hallmarks

Our items are all properly marked with the purity of the metals used in our jewelry  (750 is 18k, 925 is Sterling Silver) as well as our trademark (Amaroo handmade opal jewelry™).   The plaques we use to mark them are  “patent pending” and are unique to our line.

Care of your Amaroo Handmade Opal Jewelry

Thank you for purchasing from us.  We’ve crafted each piece, by hand, with care and of the finest materials and gemstones.  When caring for your item please note that Opals should be treated with a little more respect than harder gemstones.  If your piece ever needs cleaning or polishing please use only distilled water and,  if you must polish your item,  please polish it  by hand (on the metal only) using dedicated jewelry polishing cloth.
